I laughed at today’s “Shoe” comic strip. I often think that this is what has happened to our dining world, filled with food geeks and bloggers who want to photograph every dish presented to them.

While I count as both a food geek and a blogger,
I also think it’s kinda stupid how much photography I see going on of people’s plates. But hell, I can’t even get the jerks to stop using their cellphones in front of me, so I might as well give up. 
But if *I* ever have a restaurant, having walls that are impenetrable to cellphone traffic — or at least a room that’s that way — will be very tempting.
Thanks for posting this – the Cleveland Plain Dealer doesn’t run Shoe anymore and this was great! And yes – I am one of those photo-snapping geeks – but I still laughed out loud at this one!

sometimes i have to tell myself “you are just going to sit and enjoy this meal without taking any pictures of thinking about how to write about it.” easier said than done.
